Cody took another step, one hand on the farming implement, the other gently gripping a dart inside his bag. He knew he was beginning to regress, but after the kobold and the jackal, it was hard to stave off his former self. "No!" he said determinedly. "This is simply a restaurant that has attracted a few scavengers. Nothing to worry about. Perhaps I'll even get my meal at a discount for helping them with their problem!" The corridor was too dark for him to see the whiteness of his knuckles.

If a monster equips a cursed melee weapon in your sight, or if a ranged weapon 'slips' while you are watching a monster throw it, you will identify those items as cursed. Encouraging a monster to equip a weapon you suspect is cursed is a circuitous and somewhat dangerous way to test your hunch.
